The manager decided to cancel our reservation due to kitchen shortages, forcing some of our friends to leave and find another restaurant.
I used to work at this pub 36 years ago and have a strong connection with it as I have visited many times over the years. I have worked in other pubs since then and have a good understanding of excellent service and exceeding customer expectations. However, it has been a long time since I have been impressed by the efforts of a staff member like I was during my recent visit. A young lady immediately served me with a focus on perfect service that was unmatched. She was proactive in finding other areas that needed attention, such as clearing tables, tidying up recently vacated areas, checking in with customers, and even ensuring the cleanliness of the washrooms. I have seen good and very good service before, but truly excellent service is rare, so well done to Meg. I know you are new to the Unicorn team, but I hope your natural talent and efforts are recognized because you have the ability to manage staff and service at a high level. I give you a perfect ten out of ten and look forward to seeing you again on my next visit. This praise comes from a company owner who knows the value of good staff.
My family and I frequently visit the Wacky Warehouse. The staff there are always friendly and helpful. Sarah, in particular, went above and beyond to ensure that our kids had a fantastic time. She is truly an asset to the company.
A massive improvement. The staff are friendly, attentive and customer focussed. No more waiting for staff having a chat to tear themselves away to serve customers. Well trained, friendly staff whose priority seems to be ‘The customer’. We stopped using the pub after almost having to beg to be served! We will patronise this great pub while this service is maintained. Well done to the current licensee who is well respected by the locals. Keep it up
