Hungry Horse - Coventry

I recently moved to Eastern Green and decided to check out this pub for lunch. The atmosphere was fantastic, the staff were lovely, and the food was delicious - especially the chips, which were outstanding! I would highly recommend this place.

I hadn't visited this restaurant in 15 years, but I was pleasantly surprised by my recent experience. The menu, particularly for children, was excellent and the Sunday lunch was surprisingly good and offered at a great price.

We visited the play area, which was enjoyable. However, when our food arrived, some of the chips were undercooked and the jacket potato was very dry. We had an incident where a man entered the play area while the hostess was in the bathroom. He did not pay for his child and climbed up the wall of the ball pit, jumping off and scaring the children. This made me worried for the safety of the children due to the irresponsible actions of the adult.

I really liked this place. Although it was a bit frustrating at the beginning because I thought the playing area was open with the dining area after checking the images and reviews) but they turned out to be separate. However, my son loved the playing area and he had so much fun. Then we moved to the dining area where it was interestingly accommodating the kids and providing small things like coloring crayons and papers. WE LOVED THE FOOD, it was really delicious and good value for the price. So overall I would recommend it but be aware since it is kids friendly, it was a bit unclean in terms of floors
