The meatloaf rivaled my great grandma's from MO, where meatloaf is a lot more prevalent staple than AL. The cornbread was moist and buttery with just a tinyhint of sweetness, not too sweet or savory. The green beans tasted like they'd been stewed in crispy bacon grease for a week, sothe beans had that bacon-y flavor permeating them throughout. The batter they used for the fried green tomatoes was delicious,and the peanut butter pie, despite the name, wasn't overly peanut buttery and saccharin sweet like some. It was pretty heavenlyas well. Lastly, but definitely not least...ly, the staff there was so friendly. They were completely overwhelmed at lunch hour(because scrumptious food and all), but they still stopped, greeted me, took time to hold a conversation, and treated me like aregular even though it was my first time. Can't believe I've passed this place monthly for three years and just now visited.Definitely worth the wait!!

It is an old place but many locals eat here almost every day, now I know why. I had two fried pork chops, salad and French fries, my lady had cheese burger andfries, it was all very good.

I am pretty sure that I am leaving with food poisoning from what was supposed to be ranch dressing, but had a ?zing? to it like a cross between pickle and lime juice?? Professional chefsaid whaaaaat? The servers and staff are very nice, ?.the food?not so much. Ugh. Terrible.
