Excellent fresh food, beautifully presented with friendly service. Look at this lovely dessert...carpaccio of pineapple, who thought if that one. Enjoy your meal.

Is under rated! Much better than the ratings! I allways eat here when I come to Cotignac and never been un pleased! You must try it!

Brasserie de La Fontaine, which is situated where Phil's used to be, is a welcome addition to the restaurants of Cotignac. The food was delicious (excellent steaks and maigret de Canard), the service is good and the price is reasonable.

La Brasserie'sfriendly new owners have transformed the quality of this long established restaurant. The cooking is superb we've been twice recently and each time every single item was made from scratch, from the salad dressings to the desserts. They take no short cuts. I had Chicken Caesar Salad: the chicken was freshly roasted, the hardboiled eggs just slightly gooey it was delicious. We had steak last time the chef had it perfectly. And if you ask for mayo with the chips, it's home made. And then the fresh chocolate mousse and an apricot dessert. Local drinks house wine and pastis are inexpensive, but there is a wide choice and a tasting menu if you want something special. I don't normally do reviews, but when I saw the ones from last year, I had to set the record straight Brasserie La Fontaine as it is now is a must.

Stopped for a light lunch. Enjoyed a really tasty omelette with salad and fries. Gorgeous wine from the nearby Chateau St Croix at2.30€ per glass. Everything was as it should be. Good bread, efficient service and tasty lunch. I recommend.
