Obviously, someone spent a lot of money upgrading that building, which is a fabulous location for a fine restaurant. Sadly, the food was surprisingly mediocre and ultimately a waste of good money. Loud TV, soft spoken cashier, who, when asked where in Texas Mi Tejas) did they originally come from, her response was Oaxaca . Paid $12.99 for a poorly made bean cheese burrito, same price had I ordered one with meat in it. Total $40 for 2 people. No, thank you.
Women who takes orders was super unprofessional several times. I have supported this business since the day they opened and will never EVER support them again. Food is alright but is a hit or miss depending on cook.
Hopefully improves, because they have potential. Chicken didn't have sazón (flavor) probably cubed chicken thrown on the grill with oil not hot enough-tasted greasy. Didn't get salsa with to-go order, but not sure maybe Tejano food isn't spicy? Chips were stale looked good not crunchy couldn't eat. Otherwise handmade tortillas and beans were excellent. Not sure if would try again.
Quesobirria was awesome! Consume had a bunch of meat in it also. Came with 4 so took some home. Also got cheese enchiladas was good as well. Home made beans were delicious. Chips seemed like store bought but not sure maybe not as fresh as some places. Salsas were good. Would go back for the birria. Very nice lady took our order. Thanks!
