Thank you... read more What to do when one of your fave brunch places is closed for vacation?! Keep researching for alternatives because we drove all this way up to Cotati. Thank you fellow Yelpers for your insight on Marvin's! As expected on a Sunday there is a bit of a wait for a table (just for 2 of us), but it wasn't bad. The place was very busy. There's counter seating for those who would like to be served more quickly. Since I'm trying to eat low carb I opted for their Joe's Scramble with a side of fruit and hubby went with their Country Fried Steak with hash browns, over medium eggs, an English muffin. He said it was one of the best Country Fried steaks he's ever had. I enjoyed my scramble and the hot coffee. Friendly service with smiles. I liked it here very much. There is a bit of a wait for staff to take our order, but it wasn't terribly long. Looking forward to trying other things next time!

There may be a bit of a wait to be seated as they're often busy, and there may be a bit of a wait to get food as they make everything fresh. Some menu items may be better than others. But the staff is friendly, the food is generally good and they accept modifications, and the interior and menu is classic diner style. It's a neighborhood staple.
