What Julie Furminger likes about The Oystercatcher:
We went for lunch for my mum's 82nd birthday and being local we had heard good reports from this place. The food was lovely and so was the setting. I didn't expect to have to ask for a bottle of water for the table or to ask someone to come and take a second drinks order. Service wasnt brilliant particularly as the place was no where near full. We were looking forward to a nice meal on my husbands birthday that would reflect the reviews that have been posted. We ordered the Sunday lunches, one beef, and one lamb. However, all be it the service was good the food was not that good. The only decent part of the meal was the meat the veg was disappointing. If visiting this restaurant, I would only order the burgers or fish. Value for the cost of the meal no. View all feedback.

read moreThe Oystercatcher restaurant, located near Padstow in Cornwall, offers a lovely setting with stunning views and attentive staff. However, the dish sizes may not justify the prices, and some items like the monkfish bites and asparagus wrap were disappointing. While exploring other dining options in the area could be more rewarding, the seafood dishes at Padstow Harbour and the fish pie at The Old Ship Hotel are worth considering. Overall, the ambiance at The Oystercatcher may be disrupted by loud TVs showing football, and the service, while good, could use improvement.
