We went for lunch for my mum's 82nd birthday and being local we had heard good reports from this place. The food was lovely and so was the setting. I didn't expect to have to ask for a bottle of water for the table or to ask someone to come and take a second drinks order. Service wasnt brilliant particularly as the place was no where near full. What Sara Burt doesn't like about The Oystercatcher:
We were looking forward to a nice meal on my husbands birthday that would reflect the reviews that have been posted. We ordered the Sunday lunches, one beef, and one lamb. However, all be it the service was good the food was not that good. The only decent part of the meal was the meat the veg was disappointing. If visiting this restaurant, I would only order the burgers or fish. Value for the cost of the meal no. View all feedback.

Superb pub. Loved the food, service and views. Kayna and Chloe looked after us so well and we had a great meal. We’ve been coming to The Oystercatcher for 3 years now and it never disappoints. Highly recommend

We were there for the football semi final and the staff coped brilliantly with huge numbers and the food arrived on time.
Excellently especially Rebecca who looked after us on numerous occasions. She helped with our children and with our meal selections
