Good breakfast. Home made pancakes n omlets. Very decent comfort food. Decor is kitch with 'home sweet home ' on wooden signs to hang in the kitchen. Good service. Notice the use of youz, as in do youz want more coffee. An Ottawa valley-Scottish variant. Recomend ed.
The restaurant was extremely noisy, and my hamburger was undercooked, with a pink center while the outside appeared burnt. The service was slow, and two of my friends' chicken dinners were so overcooked that they ended up taking them home for their dogs. My daughter's steak was tough, so she handed it to me. Upon tasting it, I realized it was tenderized steak, indicating it was made from the cheapest meat available. However, the prices did not reflect the poor quality—just a 2 oz hamburger and a medium-sized portion of fries cost nearly $7.00. I won't be returning.
I visited for Sunday brunch around 10:30 AM, and it was my first time at this restaurant. The breakfast was fantastic! I had to wait a little for a table, but it was worth it. The pancakes were delicious, the home fries were tasty, and the meats and eggs were perfectly cooked. Overall, the breakfast was satisfying, served hot, and enjoyable. The only downside was that the service was a bit slow, and my ice water came without ice. Despite that, I would definitely return. The decor was lovely too!
