Café Mexicana offers a mixed experience. Despite some disappointments such as late service and flavorless nachos, the restaurant boasts beautiful décor and some tasty dishes like chilaquiles and mole enchiladas. The vegan options are appreciated, and the potato and spinach tacos are tasty. Despite some slip-ups, the restaurant shines with fabulous Mexican cuisine, excellent service, generous portions, and delicious flavors, making it a reliable and enjoyable dining spot in Cork. The Mexican grandma's cake is a must-try, adding a sweet note to a satisfying meal.

I really enjoyed the food and authentic Mexican vibe!
I enjoyed the meal very filling the staff were friendly and very helpful and the place was nicely decorated and a good place for a family dinner
The place is very nice, it is a 10 in decoration. The sauce for the chilaquiles with chicken was good, even though the tortilla chips were not, the chicken was something similar to tinga (it was delicious but it changes the flavor to traditional). For the mole enchiladas, a little expensive and the match of the chicken tinga with the mole was not the best, they would be better if they put chicken alone. The sangria was good but we think it could be improved. They have horchata and hibiscus water.
Fantastic food. Tasty and delicious. We enjoyed every mouthful. Reasonable prices. Great service from the young lady who served us on Friday. Our second visit and it definitely won't be our last when we're in Cork.
Cosy little place. Very friendly staff and the chef/cook is A1. The menu says if you want it a little hotter just tell them an then chef/cook really understood the assignment and delivered amazing food with the right amount of heat. The menu has Vegetarian, vegan and Gluten free options too.
