What Mark S dislikes about Springboard Bistro:
The tables and furnishings appeared worn, and the service was notably slow. As for the food, it was below average. I ordered the seafood chowder, which was abundant with seafood but lacked flavor. The Cobb salad was overwhelmed with soggy red onions, and the avocado was mushy, with only a few small pieces of cheese included. I couldn't even finish the salad. I tend to avoid hotel restaurants even at the most established hotels. The Springboard proves to be the exceptional exception. The service is attentive, polished without being pretentious, just as you would expect in friendly Ireland. Rebecca our server was exemplary handling a group of six travel weary adults and one infant. The food was the best we have had on our Ireland travels except for our bar food! JP the bar manager was welcoming and accommodating. I always try to eat at different establishments when traveling but am tempted to visit here again!
I was let down by this restaurant after reading its sole review. The food and service fell short of expectations. My wife ordered a steak that was almost impossible to eat because it was so tough. Her choux pastry dessert turned out to be hard and inedible. The staff seemed disinterested and lacked enthusiasm. We left feeling that we would have preferred pub food at a much lower price!

--- **Dine-In Experience** **Meal Type:** Lunch **Food Rating:** 4/5 **Service Rating:** 3/5 **Atmosphere Rating:** 4/5 I recently dined at this restaurant for lunch and overall had a positive experience. The food was quite impressive, earning a solid 4 out of 5. The dishes were flavorful and well-prepared, making for an enjoyable meal. However, the service could use some improvement, as I would rate it a 3. While the staff were friendly, there were a few delays that detracted from the overall experience. The atmosphere was delightful, rated at a 4; the ambiance was welcoming and enhanced the dining experience. All in all, it's a nice spot for lunch, with great food and a pleasant vibe! --- Let me know if you need any adjustments!
