if they are near cork and want an amazing meal definitiw make the time to stop in sunflour. it was by far the best food we had during the journey through the world. everything is made from ground when they order it and they can say in the quality of food / ingredients. most of the menu can be made vegan and it is not a afterthought. the sweet garlic bread was from this world and everything else was also amazing. in a... as we were 12 people, we decided to get one out and the problem is. they got our order and obviously prepared it before we pick it up. I ordered a suppe and was a little shocked to find so little suppe in the container that it hardly covered the floor and (of course) it was cold. cold pumpkin suppe is not very nice! This place is popular, so reservations are recommended. The flatbread I had as a starter was the most delicous part of the meal (5/5). The Pasta were good as well, but nothing exceptional. Vegan options are clearly marked and staff are very friendly and helpful.
Easily the most incredible dining experience I’ve ever had. I’ve been vegan for 5 years and have never experienced such amazing food. My partner and I both ate for under €50 and the chef came out to chat with us twice. He has an incredible talent for cooking and clearly is very passionate about what he does. The vegan cheesecake was also absolutely to die for. I can’t say enough good things about this place, highly highly recommend.
I was visiting Cork to get a tattoo. My tattoo artist upon learning I was vegan highly recommended this place to me. I only had a short amount of time between finishing my tattoo and needing to catch a train to Dublin. I rushed over to this place and the staff were very friendly and assured me they could make something very quickly. I got the Focaccia Vinyl to-go which had so much flavour and was very enjoyable to eat. It was ready in just a few minutes. If I go back to Cork again I would love to have a proper sit-down meal here.
Lovely, small, family run fully veggie italian, with lots of vegan options. Definitely worth a visit! Need to book in advance as it's busy!!
Love the atmosphere in sonflour, it is really cosy, the staff is friendly and you can see the chefs or even talk to them. The food is high quality and fresh. There are different options and you can choose your own sauce for the pasta. It is super busy so if you are planning to go for dinner make sure to book in advance.
