I don’t understand the complaints— the food at Globe Restaurant And Bar was excellent. The staff were incredibly friendly. I will definitely be returning to try more from their menu. View all feedback.

What Anonym dislikes about Globe Restaurant And Bar:

I visited Globe Restaurant And Bar with my partner and another couple. We all chose burgers but ended up waiting quite a while for our meals. The burgers were fairly good, though nothing outstanding. The stools at the dining tables lacked backrests, which made sitting uncomfortable and is something that should be improved. Overall, our experience was acceptable, but nothing stood out as exceptional. View all feedback.

The staff are very friendly and make an effort to provide good service, but the food is truly disappointing. It's the worst curry I’ve ever tasted. As for vegetarian options, they’re all unhealthy except for a basic salad. Parking is available in an underground lot with a special rate for restaurant and hotel guests. Service was for dining in during dinner.

We had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. Since we're currently staying at the Clayton Hotel, we thought it would be a convenient choice, but it fell short right from the start. After we were seated, it took a long time for someone to come over and take our order. When they finally did, we ordered a few different cocktails, but they decided to change the ingredients without checking with us first, as they were out of stock on some items. As a result, none of the drinks we received were what we ordered. We ended up leaving before getting two of our drinks because the wait was excessive, and it just wasn't worth it. I would recommend walking around the corner to the tequila bar instead; their drinks are fantastic and it's just next door!

Though the service was friendly, it was sparse and you had to wait a long time to get a drink or your order taken. Pints were overpriced. It is a posh comfortable environment, but it felt like everyone there was on business or holiday. There was nothing really wrong with it, this just isn’t my favorite type of Irish spot. Can’t say I was very impressed. If you’re staying in the hotel and just want something easy and convenient, go for it. If wanting to explore Cork, there are many other good spots for a pint and/or a good bite.

During my recent stay at the Clayton Hotel, I was quite disappointed with the service at Globe Restaurant and Bar. I ate there two consecutive evenings, and both visits were equally frustrating. Although I had a reservation, I was not seated at the reserved time, despite there being many empty tables. I ended up waiting 30 minutes without receiving any service or attention from the staff.

The food and service at Globe Restaurant And Bar are outstanding. The portions are generous, and the pint of Guinness is consistently enjoyable.

My mother, brother, and I arrived in Cork during a very busy weekend, with the Fleadh Cheoil na Mumhan, the Lee Swim, and the Townlands Carnival all happening, plus the GAA Senior Football Championship being shown on TV. With so many events and crowds, it was nearly impossible to get a table at Globe Restaurant and Bar (we were staying at the Clayton Hotel). However, after some patient searching, I managed to secure a table, and I’m so glad I did. For dinner, we had a Thai red chicken curry, a tomato lemon risotto, and an Irish Angus burger. The dishes were served promptly and enjoyed by everyone. We were looked after by Anna, who delivered excellent service despite the busy and noisy environment. The enthusiasm of the GAA fans added a lively atmosphere, and although none of us understood what was happening, we found ourselves joining in the cheers. When we weren’t caught up in the game, we appreciated the beautiful view of the River Lee.

I enjoyed several meals at Globe Restaurant and Bar during my stay in Cork. The location by the riverside is lovely. The menu offers a good variety, and the food was delicious.
