Total gem of a place with a permanent medieval to modern display about Cork City plus excellent temporary displays. Set in a lovely park and an outrageously good café round the back. View all feedback.
What Anna G doesn't like about Cork Public Museum:

The museum is within the wonderful setting of the Fitzgerald Park. It provides a very good overview on the process through whice Ireland achieved independence.

It's the first place in Cork I started. Beautiful park. Great playground my wee man loves it. Interesting exhibition. And the Museum itself is just Class.

We could not find directions where is the start and continuation and came across people who seemed to be busy talking but it was hard to tell who was a visitor and who could actually be of help with more information. It was okay for a free entry, but it would be nice if there were more interactive aspects to it. I found it a bit difficult to follow.
Lovely bit of Ireland history especially around the 1920s and the Irish Civil War. Highly educational, and absolutely cost free.
