However, the burger came with all the ad... read more This restaurant is well-managed. My husband ordered a plain burger in a bun, and the waiter wrote it down as requested. However, the burger came with all the add-ons which was disappointing. Although we were offered a replacement, we didn't have time to wait. I had to scrape off the cheese and extras for my husband to eat his meal. When we got home, we noticed they had not charged for his main course, which shows good business management. My shank of lamb was delicious, but I found it odd that the only fish dish available was a pie.

The food was delicious, made with fresh local ingredients by a talented kitchen staff who clearly have a passion for what they do. The bar offers beers from local breweries as well as popular traditional options, and the pints were always crisp and refreshing. The staff was attentive and accommodating, particularly Richard, who made us feel right at home with his friendly conversation. It would be hard to find a nicer guy than him.

I particularly appreciate this as I dislike stressful or gloomy environments when dining out. The food was exceptional, with each course being incredibly delicious. It was a perfect place to spend the evening chatting away. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience and will definitely be returning soon.
