It's a gorgeous pub inside, wood everywhere...there was a large group of us but that was no problem. We had the carvery, good food but the chef was a bit tight with the portions.
A great bar where the staff and locals are extremely friendly. A great atmosphere with some brilliant characters. And if you're into horse racing or football, there are various screens without the volume too loud.
Had coffee AND COMPLIMENTARY scones and lunch with my colleagues in this well managed, comfortable and extremely clean establishment, would like to thank Darragh and Alison for their company and professionalism,,,this was the first time and certainly won't be the last time on these premises
One of the very best Turkey/Ham dinners I ever ham. Meat was succulent! Sauce perfectly dosed. Very generous serving. Definitely go back!
Just had Sunday Carvery and without a doubt it's the best Sunday Carvery we have ever had by a mile. Good size portions, loads of choice and the gravy topped it all (would nearly order a glass of the gravy on its own! . So do yourself a favor and get yourself out to the Bishopstown bar for the nicest tastiest carrvey. Ps The staff are very friendly and the service second to none. Will definitely be back.
