Reviews - Bean Leaf
Reviews summary
Tucked in Cork city centre, this bustling café is beloved for excellent coffee, spiced chai choices and a standout cake selection — cheesecakes and peanut-butter bars draw fans. Friendly, attentive staff and late hours make it a convenient spot for locals and visitors, though popularity means it can be crowded. Limited seating, one restroom, occasional inconsistent drink execution and no gluten-free options, combined with scarce parking, temper an otherwise charming, affordable experience.

Superb to be able to visit a local coffee house while on a trip to Cork. A really nice spot with loads of Irish produce. Good coffee and my chai latte was also awesome with an option of spiced or vanilla and extra cinnamon friendly service from the team too! View all feedback.
What Jessica Betschart dislikes about Bean Leaf:
Few seats. You had to have a seat before you order. But it is difficult to reserve yourself a seat when you are alone and need to queue to order. Not ideal during busy days. Charming café with a very friendly and attentive staff. Service is quick and efficient.
I ordered a hot chocolate, but when it arrived, I found myself scraping off the foam before I even got to the actual drink. I made it halfway through the cup before I encountered any real hot chocolate. When I asked them to just top it up with some milk, they made a new drink instead, but it ended up being just a cup of milk with no hot chocolate in it. I paid £4.20 for that. Additionally, there were no gluten-free options available. The Americano was very bitter and nearly undrinkable. We also had to wait a long time for the one restroom. Overall, we definitely won't be coming back.
This is a lovely café with plenty of seating, although it tends to get busy. The staff members are consistently friendly, and the coffee is excellent. While I find the cakes a bit too sweet for my taste, my friends enjoy them. Additionally, the coffee prices are quite reasonable compared to other places nearby!

--- **Dining Experience Review** **Meal Type:** Other **Price per Person:** €1–10 **Food Rating:** 4/5 **Service Rating:** 4/5 **Atmosphere Rating:** 5/5 I recently dined at this establishment and had a delightful experience. The food was quite good, earning a solid 4 out of 5. The service was attentive and friendly, also deserving a 4. However, what truly stood out was the atmosphere, which was fantastic and earned a perfect 5. Overall, a great place for a meal without breaking the bank! --- Feel free to let me know if you need any modifications!
I really enjoy this spot in the city center. The service is prompt and the coffee is delicious—truly exceptional. The staff are friendly as well. Overall, I would give it a 5-star rating! However, I do wish there was more seating available; it can get quite crowded, and I often end up taking my coffee to go. Outstanding service and fantastic coffee! Service: Dine-in Meal Type: Other Rating: 5 stars
Best cafeteria in Cork, love the coffee here, it’s open late which is a bless for people like me. The selection of cakes suits me. All cheesecakes are great, and peanut butter bar make me want to have another one or 2 right after the first one. Only downside is a lack of sitting places, don’t get me wrong. There is a lot of tables inside and outside, but the place is busy. Sometimes you can’t get the table inside to have a cake and some latte inside.
