Cracker Barrel - Corinth
Cracker Barrel
Description
This roadside, family-friendly Cracker Barrel offers classic Southern comfort, a country store and often warm hospitality. When well staffed it delivers quick seating, pleasant service and standout dishes like chicken and dumplings; browsing the shop is a pleasure. However, visits can be inconsistent: guests report bland or dry entrees, occasional burned plates, stockouts (soups, fried catfish, root beer), forgotten utensils, cold dining rooms and understaffing that makes busy nights chaotic. Call ahead for big events and temper expectations during peak times.

We frequently eat at this restaurant when we're in the area. However, during our last visit, we found some small hairs in the bowl of greens, and the fried chicken was a bit dry.
We LOVE our Cracker Barrel stops. They are such a comfort after hours on the road. This one was a unicorn. They were out of all the soup, fried catfish (2 reasons we stop here AND root beer. The hostess looked shell shocked (when she could make it to her station we and others waited to be acknowledged by an empty station .The waitress was lovely and chatty but forgot to bring us knives (why were they not already on the table? , extra napkins and also forgot our cornbread biscuits. Took a while to get the check. Seeing the stressed looks on the staff ruined my meal (even when I did get my knife .7:00pm on Monday of the solar eclipse should have been a festive event, but, on a rainy damp evening, the table lamps were out of oil and “the guy that knows how to turn on the fireplace is not here”. All of the patrons were stuffed in the center eating area while the window seating area was vacant. What kind of manager leaves his staff so short and ill prepared on such a day??If you intend to stop here, call first to inquire if it is under new management…or just move on down the road. Such a disappointment.
Cracker Barrel consistently impresses me. The food, service, quality, and management are all top-notch.
