I simply wanted to ask if a dish came with a whistle, but after three attempts, the waiter thought I was asking for a side order. I hadn't anticipated that such a straightforward question could become so complicated. In this industry, staff should be able to answer basic questions consistently. When I asked for a side of shredded cheese, he repeated it back to me, but I ended up with cheese dip instead.
