We visited Raku after a long bike ride with Backroads and it was a great experience. The food and wine were absolutely delicious and the owner was so kind. I would highly recommend this place to anyone!
Stumbled across this place as the restaurant we 'd driven to in the same village was closed for renovations and we were happy to find this alternative. We wandered in and were told that, while they 'd been open an hour, the kitchen didn 't open until 8pm. But we could stay and wait and have a drink...? Sure, that was fine! One abiding memory from this place was the sounds of thrash metal coming from the kitchen I guess whatever gets you going at work...? This was soon superseded by more typical restaurant background music, which was a shame as we were enjoying our own images of the kitchen... The waiting staff were friendly and helpful and the 'nice ' patatas bravas were the best we 'd had all holiday. The wine was very good too. The food was quite good value and the surroundings charming. Would recommend.
