We routinely order Armstrong 's awesome food with generous portions every time we come back to Pittsburgh to visit family. It is a must have meal on at least one of the days we are with the fam. We have NEVER been disappointed! We await the day for the dine-in experience to return! View all feedback.
What Jered Pander doesn't like about Armstrong's:
Spent $60 on wings and baked ziti. Prices are ridiculous. Baked ziti is OK. Wings were bad…$34 for 24. Wings were much smaller, barely a wing. And they were overcooked, shriveled, and hard. Asked for a refund and got a gift card. Food Quality is nowhere near what it used to be prior to the pandemic. Don’t waste your money like I did. High prices, like everywhere, for mediocre food. And, since it is takeout only, food that should be served hot, on a plate, is usually lukewarm in a container. Don't get any fried food. It sweats too much and gets soggy.
We got there right at 8 PM and they had already closed,We have eaten there before añd it's really good
I don't understand people complaining about the prices. You get a ridiculous amount of food for the price. Hoping the long renovation will be over soon!
I enjoy Armstrong's food and portions, but after spending $70-80 anytime I order takeout, I gave them up. I should also note that I'm a vegetarian, and therefore don't order food with meat, which usually means I pay less. Not at Armstrong's. The ladies at the front desk are also usually less than friendly.
Damn shame that the owners decided to take a great neighborhood restaurant for which the community adored and turn it into a take out only place. Damn shame.
