Really fun mountain and good trail layout. Most greens are concentrated in an area, so easy to practice for beginners without worrying about running in too difficult from a run. When someone who enjoys the blues the occasional black, it was nice that the areas of the mountain overflowed sparingly. What is with copper is that the runs are LONGGGG. Make sure to take the Rendezvous Sierra lifts for a bowl-like skiing, even if you are more on the beginners/intermediate side. Nice!

I wanted to ski a few days in March. Skiing itself was great. There are more beautiful and newer resorts that offer a better holistic experience when that is what you are looking for. Copper looks his age. But if only skiing for less money, a good choice. There are also other things to do in the area...Snowmobiling 20 minutes near Leadville. Hiking the Mayflower Gulch 5 minutes away. City of Frisco with good food 10 minutes away. The beginner area was good when you get it, with two different sections (via the magic carpet), which really help to learn and are challenged in a safe way. But unfortunately there is no easy way to get from the base. You have to get in ski boots quite a bit up to get to this area. Other green paths in the western village were fun and some are quite long. The bus system between the areas was pretty good. Eating the places we tried was also decent.
