Food and service were excellent. Typical chinese cusine but tourist price which is fairly expensive. Restaurant is easily accessible, cosy and comfortable. Only thing that we did not like was the fact that we had to pay for fresh cut chillies and chilli paste. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Grand Court Chinese Restaurant:
Will not being going back. Although the service was good the food was not. It was tasteless, heavy with oil and over priced especially for the quality of food you got. Have no idea what what meat was used in the dim sums but they were the worst I’ve ever had very dense and disgusting. View all feedback.
It was our last night in Cooma and we decided to try this restaurant. The Asian lady who was serving was very rude, but the rest of the staff were lovely. Food was great. And we had such big servings that we took some home with us. It was a little expensive though. Things got hectic when 2 large groups came in. We left then
The restaurant made a mistake with our order. We requested a prawn dish, but it arrived with a mixture of prawns and chicken. When we politely asked for the correct dish, the male waiter wearing glasses accused us of making the error. The kitchen staff also accused us of trying to avoid paying for the dish. Additionally, the same waiter coughed excessively behind his mask, causing his glasses to fall onto our table. I would give this place zero stars if I could. Absolutely terrible experience. I will never return.
After a 12 hour shift and finding not much open at 8pm on a Friday night I decided to try this restaurant. Not much into visiting Chinese restaurants in rural country towns, but it was a very pleasant surprise. Walking in I was greeted so nicely (working how to get in you slide the glass door open) and treated with such hospitality. Originally had planned to ave takeaway, but because it was so friendly I decided to sit down in uniform and all. Spring rolls for starters, a cold coke with glass and ice provided followed by a seafood Combination Laksa I was sated. Yum. Fortune cookie o finish and takeaway for lunch next day I was a happy Chappy. Cheers Grand Court. Btw there were more than two tables of Chinese people eating there when I walked in.
ABSOULTELY DISGUSTING SERVICE!!!! Unfriendly and cranky staff, very abrupt and not welcoming (cashier and the chinese waitress). Not that busy store but they appeared to be so stressed and pumped. So awkward that you can sense that both of them don’t work together well, even out hearing the chinese waitress sarcastically apologising to the other table because her colleague was too slow. First entree order was given in such a rush that even the food fell off without even offering any exchange for it. Soup order was handed improperly and unhygienic, with the waitress’ finger deepened into the soup while serving. (JUST WHAT YOU NEED DURING THIS PANDEMIC CRISIS OF COVID). We’ve asked to change it, and as expected she wasn’t impressed and happy about it. And came back with the new soup but this time sounding so sarcastic when he handed the new soup to us again, saying “no finger no finger”. SUCH AN UNPLEASANT EXPERIENCE! DON’T GO HERE.
I have attended two business meetings at the Grand Court and each time, I have been impressed by the delicious food and exceptional service. Whenever we have evening meetings, we will definitely choose to return to this restaurant.
