Feedback
The Greenvale restaurant offers a mixed experience, with some customers enjoying delicious meals and great service, while others were highly disappointed with their dining experience. Positive aspects included generous portion sizes and attentive staff, with standout dishes like garlic mushrooms and succulent Kiev. However, negative reviews mentioned cold, flavorless sandwiches, overly greasy food, and lack of atmosphere during special events. The restaurant's high prices were mentioned several times, with some customers feeling it was justified by the quality of food and service, while others felt it was not worth the cost.
Awesome food great service and loads of it so filling and worth a visit really friendly and helpful staff owner
Been twice lately as a couple , both times during midweek in the evening for dinner. We will not be back which is unfortunate as it’s within walking distance to us. Very poor and unacceptable. Used to enjoy coming here as our local but the food served midweek is borderline embarrassing. Unfortunately it’s not nice to say but true The lasagne served to us was 100% the exact same one that a local butcher in the town sells for a quarter of the price. The presentation of the food is poor lasagne and chicken fillet burger were served on the corner of the plate, one the other corner there was a few salad leaves which had brown tinges on them. This is the second time in a few months salad has been served to us in the Greenvale top bar and it’s going off and visibly brown. A friend of mine, his wife and parents complained about the poor quality of rare steaks served to them before Christmas 2022, the manager was very unprofessional in how he dealt with the matter. I believe the glenavon offers much better value across the road and a better experience. The Greenvale is very expensive for what it serves the menu is typical northern Irish meals that you can purchase in any butchers or shop in the town. Will not be back as we gave it a second chance after the last time. I think it’s one of these places that has its regulars who have come for years and won’t hear a bad word about their local. Villa Vinci and other local restaurants are miles above this and cheaper.
I’m staying at the hotel and was excited to eat here as I’d heard good things from other guests. The restaurant was very busy so I had tk eat the bar (no big deal I was on my own anywhere so didn’t matter to me) I had the garlic mushrooms to start, superb starter. The mushrooms were piping hot, really tasty and the garlic dip was great. For main I had the fillet steak (cooked to perfection and really big) with chips and vegetables. I am a big eater but I couldn’t finish the meal, so much food it was unreal. I am gutted I’m not staying here another night as the meal tonight was brilliant. Staff were great, couldn’t do enough for me. Got the impression people eat here who aren’t staying at the hotel and I can see why. Highly recommend
I have been at a few family weddings in the Greenvale over the years so when it came to our wedding we knew exactly where we wanted and we never even looked at another location. The hotel is recently refurbished and the staff are always so very helpful and attentive. The manager Michael is always on hand and he guides you from the very first visit right through to the end of your night! in my opinion he certainly goes above and beyond! any wonder the venue is booked out for years in advance! Great place, great food and great staff!
Food was delicious and staff were great, I'm a vegetarian and there were plenty of choices for me. So glad we stopped in.
