Despite some negative reviews, the Crossroads Cafe offers a basic but clean environment with generous and well-prepared breakfast options at great value. Positive mentions of friendly and helpful staff and delicious food make it a go-to spot for many visitors, with some noting returning visits and excellent service. Although there are critiques of cleanliness and pricing, overall, it remains a popular dining choice for locals and tourists alike. With a varied menu, good prices, and a 5 hygiene rating, the cafe continues to provide tasty and satisfying meals for those seeking a casual dining experience in the area.
My dad and I visited the restaurant around lunch time. The food was delicious and the staff were friendly and attentive. The only downside was that they didn't have any sweetener available, but that was my mistake for forgetting. Make sure to come hungry because the portions are generous. Keep up the great work, guys. Stay safe! Wales chick .xx
My family of five visited the cafe and were quickly served as we were the only customers. The food was reasonably priced and tasted decent, although the chips seemed overcooked or cooked in dirty oil. The server, a blonde lady, was friendly when taking our order. However, while we were eating, she gestured to her colleagues to look at us and was laughing. I noticed this behavior multiple times, as the kitchen and serving area were visible to us. I refrained from asking her what was amusing because I didn't want to ruin my children's enjoyable week in Towyn. It was disappointing that the lady couldn't wait until we had left to make fun of us. Her actions were immature and unprofessional. I am left wondering what was so amusing about our family.
On our first visit to this restaurant, we were greeted by a warm and welcoming staff, specifically two ladies who were friendly and accommodating. We brought along our 3-year-old grandson and ordered two small breakfasts consisting of bacon, beans, eggs, and toast. We also requested a side of sausages for him, and the staff kindly offered to substitute some bacon for the sausages. However, we opted to order the sausages separately. Despite a minor issue with a broken yolk in one of the eggs, the staff offered to replace it but we declined. Overall, the food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the staff was genuine and hospitable. We highly recommend this place for a great cooked breakfast experience.
I have tried to visit this place a number of times for breakfast, at varying times, though every time I have been it always seems to be closed
