Osborne's Cafe And Grill - Conwy

We were excited for our evening after reading great reviews on TripAdvisor, but were completely let down. We had a reservation for 6:00pm, but were seated in a room separate from the main restaurant that felt like a storage room or mortuary. The room had white tables and chairs covered in white tablecloths, with only one other table occupied in the main restaurant. We politely asked to move to the main restaurant but were told we couldn't due to social distancing. The evening continued with an unwelcoming atmosphere and uncomfortable chairs. The food was mediocre, with small starters and dry trout with tiny prawns. The Crostini was too hard to eat and the lamb and beef stroganoff were bland and chewy. Despite the good reviews, we had a very disappointing experience and felt like we were unwelcome customers. It's unfortunate that we didn't feel appreciated in this restaurant during these times.

We were able to secure a reservation at Osborne's for their 3-course set menu. It was well worth the wait, as the entire evening was excellent from start to finish. The service was fantastic, with attentive and professional staff who made us feel special. The food was exceptional, beautifully presented, cooked perfectly, and served in generous portions (we were pleasantly surprised as we expected smaller portions due to the price). Despite being a fixed menu, there was plenty of choice, and the house wine that accompanied the meal was also good. The value for money was superb, especially considering the quality of the food and portion sizes, as well as the attentive staff. The restaurant, located within a hotel, had a classy atmosphere and was very clean and adhered to Covid safety measures, with hand sanitiser readily available and well-spaced tables. We will be returning to Llandudno for New Year's and hope to dine at the restaurant again, as we are confident based on this visit that it will make for a fabulous NYE celebration. Highly recommended!

We visited this restaurant for our anniversary in September. You must visit this place if you come to Llandudno. The interior is lovely and it also functions as a hotel. The restaurant is very romantic with lots of candles on the walls and beautiful white tablecloths. The food was exceptional and reasonably priced. We had a £25 set menu which included three courses and a small carafe of wine (a large glass) which I found to be excellent. I had trout and prawns with garlic butter as a starter, stroganoff for my main course, and crème brûlée for dessert. My husband had mushrooms for his starter, sautéed salmon for his main course, and ice cream for dessert. The food was amazing, one of the best meals we've had in a long time. The staff were lovely and the restaurant is a great place for a romantic meal or a special treat. I can't recommend this place highly enough. We loved it so much that we are planning to go again.

Booked well in advance for our table and had a courtesy call on the day to confirm. It was £25 per person for the Candlelight Supper menu. This included 3 courses and wine. The menu had a good choice and the food was great quality. The restaurant is such a nice environment.All of the food looked amazing but I decided on the king prawn curry which tasted superb with the right amount of spices. Better than an Indian restaurant. The Baileys and white chocolate desert was fab too. My partner had the pâte to start, which along with the bread, was made fresh onsite.All of the staff were amazing, friendly helpful, which made for a fantastic dining experience. The restaurant has taken precautions to protect customers against Covid in a very careful manner. We felt very safe here.

We come here every time we visit Llandudno. Whilst the decor and food is excellent it is really the staff that make the place everyone of them is engaging, friendly and professional. We love visiting and will be back again in October. The current candlelight menu is also fantastic value for money.
