Reviews - Mei Ling Inn
Reviews summary
Tucked in a small town, this family-run takeout spot offers comforting Chinese-, Thai- and American-style dishes with generous, homemade-tasting portions and wallet-friendly lunch specials. Charred wok flavors and hearty family-style options shine, though the menu is limited and some sauces and seasonings can be mild. Service and cleanliness appear inconsistent, hours vary, and there’s no dine-in or restrooms — best for locals or travelers seeking affordable, substantial takeout.

Although they only provide takeout service, the food is fantastic. They have a wonderful lunch special that is very satisfying. It's definitely a top choice that you won’t regret. Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 View all feedback.
What Kristy C dislikes about Mei Ling Inn:
The food is great! My only issue is that they tend to be closed quite often, so it's a good idea to call ahead to confirm their hours. The dishes are fresh and flavorful, but the menu is quite limited. Keep in mind that there's no dine-in option, so don’t expect to eat at the restaurant. View all feedback.

Worth the stop on your way from Spokane Washington to the Tri cites. Not fancy but clean and affordable.
Best Thai cuisine in the country! If you haven't been to Mei Lings I have no clue what you're doing with your life, you're probably going to the subway next to Mei Lings which would be a big mistake! Why spend $5.00 plus dollars when your money can go into a hot authentic thai meal which has a great combination of pork, chicken, amazing rice and noodles. Plus don't get me started on the great sauces! And if you give this place a bad review shame on you and curse your family for generations to come and natural selection will take it's course on you and those you love.Would eat here everyday if only I lived in town. Huge fan by the way Mei Lings cook/owner.

Chow mein was just noodles with a few chunks of cabbage, sticky. Almond Chicken was very good. Special Fried Rice not so special. Disappointing.
We've been here once but it was so so good. their almond chicken is amazing. their BBQ pork is also amazing and probably the best we have ever had! super yummy and definitely worth it!
One Of Connell's Best And Childhood Place I've Always Loved Definitely Recommend And Although I Live In Tri Cities Now I Can Never Go To Connell Without Stopping By And Getting Me Some MEI-LINGS! ?

Stopped on our through town. They only serve take out and there is a small waiting area in the entrance. The old dining room is blocked off and full of boxes and kids things. There are no restrooms for customers. The portions are large and the prices reasonable. The food tasted more homemade than most Chinese restaurants not as salty or greasy. As others mentioned, the sweet and sour sauce is thin, as is the almond chicken sauce. The pork did appear to be chopped up and formed into meatball type shapes before battering and frying. But, the result was tender and delicious! The chop suey and fried rice were very mildly flavored, almost bland, but very fresh tasting. The chown mein noodles had a good wok hay flavor.Overall, the food was satisfying and didn't leave a heavy feeling after eating. You might be disappointed if you try to compare to offerings in big cities, but it's a nice, family run small business that was doing a steady business on a Tuesday night.

Just a glance at their fried dishes tells you everything you need to know – everything is made fresh on the spot. The Yang Tze Pork was packed with amazing char siu flavor, and the side dishes were hearty and delicious. We ordered from their family-style menu, which offered an incredible amount of food for just $17 per person. My wife kept wanting to add more items to our order, but I had to remind her that we were already going to have plenty of food. The leftovers currently in my fridge are proof of that! This small town, tucked away in the middle of nowhere, is truly lucky to have this family-run restaurant to enjoy.
