Beautiful place and great food and service. Service: 5 Location: 5
The quality of the food was comparable to what you'd find at a truck stop. The pork chops were overcooked, and the green beans tasted straight out of a can. On a positive note, the wine was reasonably priced, and the service was good. Unfortunately, the food was just not up to par.
We recently visited this restaurant for lunch during our weekend bike ride. It’s a fantastic spot to relax, enjoy delicious food, and take in the river view. Service: 5/5 Location: 5/5 Highlights: Amazing scenery!
This restaurant is a real gem! The food is fantastic, and I highly recommend dining on the porch to enjoy the stunning river views and beautiful flowers. As for nearby attractions, Falling Water is just a short distance away! Overall, I’d rate it: Rooms: 5, Service: 5, Location: 5. Hotel highlights include a great view, a romantic atmosphere, a peaceful setting, and excellent value.
**Restaurant Review: River's Edge Café** Nestled by the river, River's Edge Café offers a mix of experiences for its patrons. While some diners find the food hit-or-miss—with overcooked dishes and a few lacking in temperature—the ambiance and scenic views often steal the show. Service received varied feedback; many appreciated the attentive and friendly staff, while others felt overlooked. Highlights include pleasing lunch options and a cozy, rustic atmosphere. Despite a few hiccups, such as long wait times or missed preferences, the café is generally viewed as a charming spot worthy of a visit, particularly for its beautiful riverside setting.

I had a lovely experience at the riverbank for dinner and an overnight stay. The staff were very attentive and helpful. The restaurant offered delicious food with excellent service. The bed and breakfast accommodations were decent overall. Breakfast was self-service and well-presented. The night before, we enjoyed fresh muffins. The only downside was the mattress; it wasn't very comfortable and could use an upgrade.
We brought two dogs with us: one was wearing a service dog vest and had the necessary identification, while the other was a 4-month-old in training. We wanted to sit outside in the yard, but had to read the menu attached to a tree. Our food was served on paper plates, and both the quality and quantity were not as impressive as in our previous visits. We felt unwelcome and out of place. We don't plan to return.
I visited this charming little spot after a bike ride from Ohiopyle and enjoyed dinner on their covered veranda. I was pleasantly surprised by the extensive menu for such a small establishment. While the fish sandwich I ordered was flavorful, it was a bit small and seemed like it came from a frozen fillet. However, everyone else in my group seemed to really enjoy their meals. One odd thing was the side of chips; each of us received just 6 to 9 individual chips. It would be better if they either didn’t serve chips at all or provided a full plate. Also, for the first time, I noticed a $1.99 fee on the bill for using a credit card. Is this a standard business cost? Honestly, if credit cards weren’t accepted, I wouldn’t have dined here. Despite these issues, I had a nice experience and would likely return.

We went to falling water today and before we left asked our guide for a dinner recommendation. This was one of the two places she suggested so we took the ride through the park to go. Parking was easy in a lot, always worth a star. The place was rustic and decorated comfy cozy. We enjoyed a table for two on the porch which was a great place to relax and dine looking out onto the river. Maggie our server was attentive and efficient. Our salads where fresh and they had blue cheese crumbles which always makes me happy. They did not have Russian or French dressing which did not make my husband happy. He ordered the special beef tips in a mushroom gravy with mashed potatoes that he enjoyed. I ordered the clam stuffed shrimp which was tasty but not as hot as I would have liked. The bill was reasonable. If I lived closer I could see myself coming back for lunch often.

Had a nice visit to the River's Edge for dinner and an overnight. Met the proprietor who was very attentive and helpful. Restaurant was yummy with great service. The B and B was pretty good. The breakfast was self-serve and supplied well. Freshmuffins were brought in the night before. The only hiccup was the mattress...not very comfortable...time for an upgrade.
We were looking for a place to stay last minute after a long day of riding on the GAP trail and River?s Edge turned out to be the perfect spot. The b&b was cozy and very fairly priced and came with a full breakfast, tea and coffee, along with a coveredand locked garage to store our bikes. The owner and staff were very friendly as well. Thanks for a great stay!
Visited this little gem after an afternoon bike ride down from Ohiopyle, and enjoyed dinner on their covered front porch. Surprising that such a small establishment would offer such an expansive menu impressive. Although the fish sandwich I had wastasty, it was quite small and was surely just microwaved from a frozen filet not great. However, everyone else thoroughlyenjoyed their meals. One oddity were the chips served on the side, as each of us only received 6 9 individual chips notkidding. Either don't serve them at all, or give me a half plate full, eh? Lastly, this is the first time I saw a $1.99 chargeon the bill for using a credit card. That's the cost of doing business, is it not? If credit cards weren't accepted here, Iwouldn't have visited at all, ya' know? Anyway, I did enjoy my visit and would likely return.
Well we had 2 dogs with is. One had his service dog vest and card, the other was a 4 month old trading in progress. We were told to go sit outside in the yard. We had to look at a menu attached to a tree. Our food was brought to is on paper plates, qualityand quantity wasn't as nice as it has been in the past. Made to feel like unwanted guests. Won't go back.
