I had a lovely experience at the riverbank for dinner and an overnight stay. The staff were very attentive and helpful. The restaurant offered delicious food with excellent service. The bed and breakfast accommodations were decent overall. Breakfast was self-service and well-presented. The night before, we enjoyed fresh muffins. The only downside was the mattress; it wasn't very comfortable and could use an upgrade. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The River's Edge Cafe:
We brought two dogs with us: one was wearing a service dog vest and had the necessary identification, while the other was a 4-month-old in training. We wanted to sit outside in the yard, but had to read the menu attached to a tree. Our food was served on paper plates, and both the quality and quantity were not as impressive as in our previous visits. We felt unwelcome and out of place. We don't plan to return. We were looking for a place that last minute after a long day of riding on the GAP Trail and River?s Edge turned out to be the perfect place. The
We went to falling water today and before we left asked our guide for a dinner recommendation. This was one of the two places she suggested so we took the ride through the park to go. Parking was easy in a lot, always worth a star. The place was rustic and decorated comfy cozy. We enjoyed a table for two on the porch which was a great place to relax and dine looking out onto the river. Maggie our server was attentive and efficient. Our salads where fresh and they had blue cheese crumbles which always makes me happy. They did not have Russian or French dressing which did not make my husband happy. He ordered the special beef tips in a mushroom gravy with mashed potatoes that he enjoyed. I ordered the clam stuffed shrimp which was tasty but not as hot as I would have liked. The bill was reasonable. If I lived closer I could see myself coming back for lunch often.
Love this place! Food is excellent and so is the atomosphere. We had reservations with another couple for the outside seating. It was a beautiful day. We ordered the gouda dip and fried green beans for the appitizers. I had the confluence chicken sandwhich and it was soooo good...with avacodo and cole slaw on it. The others had chicken Quessdilla, and the bicyclist wrap. Oh and dont want to forget to mention that the servers were very efficient and friendly. Everyone was pleased with their food and we will be back ...hopefully on our next bike riding adventure?
Adorable little B&B on the river. We were able to make a last minute reservation coming off the GAP trail after a long day?s ride and felt like we found a gem. We were not planning on getting dinner at the attached cafe, but the menu was too hard to resist and the food turned out to be absolutely delicious. Definitely would recommend to anyone passing through.
What a great place. Well prepared food served in a beautiful setting by a competent and dedicated staff. Kendall was a particularly helpful server, even providing a white and red wine glass for each of us, which I have never experienced before. Treat yourself to a special meal in a very exquisite setting.
