We were searching for a place to dine during our drive from Franconia Notch to Boston and decided to stop in Concord. We took an exit off the highway and immediately spotted this restaurant. The interior is quite unique, featuring an eclectic mix of vintage items. Our table was on the second floor, which had a spacious layout with two bars, numerous tables, restrooms, and an elevator. The air conditioning was very powerful, so we ended up needing our jackets. The food was simple yet delicious, and even the kids' menu offered healthy options instead of typical junk food. Additionally, there was a complimentary table with crackers and some homemade cream cheese spreads.

The food is fantastic, but we didn’t make a reservation and had to wait an hour for a table. That said, it was definitely worth the wait! The dishes were incredibly delicious and the portions were generous—at least for us. The dinner prices were reasonable, and we left feeling extremely satisfied after ordering two appetizers and two main courses. I’d recommend making a reservation in advance to avoid waiting in a crowded area.

I stopped here for dinner during a weekend trip from Connecticut, and honestly, their rating doesn't reflect how good they are! I ordered the pot roast dinner, and I could cut it with just my fork – it was so tender that it practically melted in my mouth. The dish was loaded with flavor. My only complaint is that it didn't come with enough gravy for my taste, and I didn't realize I could order extra, but I'll definitely do that next time. Since the meal was so filling, I decided to grab the roll house cookie pie to take back to my hotel room. And all of this came to under $34 – you can't beat that!

Located just down the street from where we were staying, The Common Man was an easy and excellent choice for us. Leah, our server, was cheerful and attentive, and the menu offered delicious options. Our entrees were generous and satisfying—I enjoyed the Nantucket Pie (pictured) so much that we skipped dessert. If you’re in Concord and hungry, be sure to stop by The Common Man!

This wasn’t my first visit to The Common Man, but it was my first time at their Concord location. The atmosphere closely resembles their Lincoln, NH spot, with that charming open, rustic lodge vibe I love. The food was outstanding, as always, and our server Logan was incredibly sweet and personable. Unfortunately, due to Covid, the complimentary snacks are nowhere near what they used to be. Hopefully, once business picks up, this will improve. If you haven’t been to The Common Man yet, I definitely recommend checking it out!
