D J's Bistro
Description
Located in Northern California, this charming German restaurant offers a blend of nostalgic comfort and hearty flavors, but recent changes have left some longtime patrons feeling disappointed. Diners report mixed experiences, noting rising prices and altered portion sizes without corresponding quality improvements. However, the welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff, and solid menu options, including the classic Wiener Schnitzel, continue to attract both locals and visitors. With its laid-back charm, this eatery remains a favorite for gatherings, boasting a good lineup of German beers and a delightful ambiance, although some urge new guests to inquire about portion sizes beforehand.

I visited this restaurant to celebrate a friend's birthday, and I have to say, it's truly a hidden gem. Nestled in the shopping plaza across from...
This was my first visit since the restaurant changed ownership, and I must say, I was quite disappointed compared to my previous experiences. It's not just about the prices; everything feels different now.
I spent my birthday in Los Angeles but decided to take a road trip to Northern California to visit family and enjoy some delicious German cuisine at my favorite German restaurant.
I tried this restaurant for the first time in many years and was pleasantly surprised! The portions were enormous, and my delivery arrived hot. Everything was delicious! I had the bratwurst with the house salad and the soup of the day, which was lentil with ham. I also enjoyed the Wiener Schnitzel with the house salad and gravy. It was all outstanding!
The latest dish was just a fried piece of meat with a half tomato and a tiny portion of salad for $19. What happened to the potato salad that used to be included? The prices have gone up, but the quality has clearly declined. I'm a long-time customer and I'm really disappointed.
