What CarolR doesn't like about Colonial Inn:
It's a lovely place to meet friends for lunch. But, the noise level is so high. It's difficult to keep up a conversation unless you are willing to shout across the table. Noisy groups should be asked to quiet down and consider other diners, but that was not done. View all feedback.
Restaurant lost our reservation and we dined indoors, in a small, empty, echo filled dining room. No music or real vibe. Food was good and our waitress was nice. Stop by if in the area but not worth the trip out.
The mussels were fantastic and plenty for two people. The lobster roll was chocked full of lobster meat including a whole claw. The server was attentive and very pleasant.
Much better than a couple years ago. We will be back!
Wonderful historic setting, friendly attentive service, nice menu options, casual yet makes you feel important being in a place of history!
