We rented two cabins at Neal's for a group of 11 and stayed for 5 days. Our children, ranging from 4 to 13 years old, had an amazing time, as did our dog. The staff was very friendly. Our cabin was clean and provided a comfortable place to eat, bathe, and sleep after a fun day at the river. Make sure to bring your own towels, cloths, paper towels, and bedding. What User doesn't like about Neal's Lodges:
Horrible place to camp at, the river and scenery is pretty, but it is loud at night and unsafe, gunshots at night. We booked in for 2 nights with my family, we decided to leave the next day, because we did not feel safe, my children were frightened and couldn’t sleep that night due to the loud music and gunshots . The manager, stated she would refund us for following night, lied!!! Terrible customer service, never ag... View all feedback.

We adore Neal's Lodges! It's the perfect spot to unwind in the warm Texas Hill Country. Joe Jimmy's is family-friendly and a lively spot for dancing.
This is an amazing place to visit. The staff is fantastic and our favorite female bartender is always here.
Beautiful hill country location at the river frio. friends stayed in hütten and we were in RV page. the polite employees, huts and RV sites were separated by the indigenous plant life. would highly recommend.
My husband's family has been going to Neal's since they opened in 1926. The photo is his mother in 1942 at Neal's. We went to Neal's to visit my Dad on Father's Day, just for a few hours as he was staying at one of their RV sites. We were told he could have 8 guests. Turns out it was 8 people total. We had a total of 6 adults and 8 children (only 4 people were actually staying overnight). My Dad was ok with paying $20 extra per person so that we could hang out with him on the river for the day. No, it was $20 per person PER DAY FOR A 3 DAY MINIMUM. I understand the 3 day minimum for lodging, but for river access?? A total of $360 for a few hours on the river?? Completely asinine. The owner that took over clearly only cares about money. We left and went to the other side of the river. We will sadly never go back to Neal's. In addition, we will be sure to tell all our extended family to steer clear. It is apparent that this place is no longer about family. We will only go to Buchanan's from now on.
