Reservation through website efficient. Confirmation within a few hours. Good welcome and nice decor. Interesting but short menu. We liked the 30/35/40$ formula that allows you to choose according to your appetite or budget. Food is well prepared and presented nicely. We had the rabbit and sweetbreads. Limited but sufficient selection of wines (good servings). Excellent desserts. We will go back. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Le Cinquieme Element:
Over rated. Mixed flavours not working good togheter. Duck, risotto, apple and cinnamon...too much going on there in the same dish. Very expensive for what you get. View all feedback.
As urbanites, we were initially hesitant to enter a fancy restaurant after a 3-hour hike in the woods. However, any apprehension disappeared as soon as we stepped inside. Le Cinquième Element is a charming little restaurant with unique and conversation-inspiring decor, creating a relaxed atmosphere. Located in a town just 20 minutes from Coaticook, there is no pretentiousness here. Despite the down-to-earth feel, the dining experience is sophisticated. Featuring dishes like escargots, rabbit, and osso bucco on the prix fixe menu, the carefully crafted presentation enhances the overall dining experience. Priced at $30 for a three-course meal, the value is exceptional, making up for the lack of à la carte options. Our server, who may have also been the owner or chef, provided attentive and caring service, with a hint of charm. The highlight of the evening was when he noticed our candle had extinguished, offering a thoughtful and poetic message about love. This sentiment encapsulates the warm and inviting atmosphere of Le Cinquième Element.
We came upon this place during a motorcycle ride. Food tastes different somewhat than what you see everywhere else. Had carrot soup, lamb shank, and orange-flavored creme brulee and everything was delicious. My companion does not like even slightly spicy dishes. The rice was fine to me but the point is the host offered to replace it with risotto. Overall we felt they do everything to make sure you are pleased. Did I mention the dish presentation is very pleasing to the eyes! We will go back!

We have now been here several times for lunch and dinner and I just had to say something after my great shrimp red curry the other day! We love the relaxed atmosphere, interesting mix of local, European and Asian cooking, and they let me speak as much French as I can before I run out of my words. Then they happily switch to English......They source their foods from local farms where that works, and my beer drinking friends say they have a great range of both Quebec and Belgian beers. Every time we have been there, the service has been SO friendly and helpful! This is a great place to go after a trip to the Louis St. Laurent museum. We will be back!
