From the east coast of Buckroe Beach, Virginia, all the way to Compton, California, we had the pleasure of stopping at Rena's BBQ soul food establishment in Compton. I must say, the food was absolutely delicious, especially the greens! My family and I left feeling full and satisfied. You definitely get a lot of food for your money. This restaurant saidntheybwoukdnhave our order ready by 130pm after putting in the order at 1130 am. We did not receive our order until 230 pm! Do not order online with this restaurant!
I ordered the pork rib dinner with the sauce on the side because I prefer to dip my meat into BBQ sauce. The server read my order back to me, yet somehow my ribs arrived covered in sauce. While the portion size was decent, the flavor was disappointing. I didn't taste any smokiness, nor could I smell it; the ribs tasted and looked more like they were baked rather than barbecued. I won’t be returning here again.
