Was Lina Hess at Mary's a mag?
My daughter and I head to Mary's quite often. We discovered it about a year ago, and it is by far our favourite coffee shop! When you go to Mary's, you feel like you're relaxing at a friend's place...or better yet, you just feel right at home! Mary makes amazing food and treats, and her drinks are always great. Friendly staff & good coffee beverages in the heart of downtown Comox. However very disappointed as the lemon bar we had was so over baked that we had to toss most of it. Went back again within a couple days to try a couple sandwiches & were very surprised how expensive they were. We get it, home made with lots of fresh ingredients. What a lovely food experience! Met Mary the owner, she was so attentive and told us about the gluten free, dairy free, vegan chocolate mousse. It was unbelievable!!!
All the food at this location is made on site, soups, bread, pastries. A relaxed atmosphere and friendly people.
The flavors here are fantastic! My favorites are the carrot cake cupcakes, which I often bring home for my sweetheart, and the BLTA (bacon, lettuce, tomato, avocado) sandwich. The service is excellent too! I absolutely love Mary's fantastic customer service and her sense of humor. She's a valuable member of our entrepreneur community, and she brings her vibrant personality and flavor to everything she does. Highly recommended!
I had a delicious and warm pumpkin spice pecan muffin, which was fantastic. The Americano was also quite good, topped with a nice layer of crema.
