Very average restaurant. We are not vegetarians, but the vegetarian menu was more inventive and tasty. The tasting menu was not memorable, the ingredients and plating repetitive, I couldn’t single out any dish that I liked more. As far as we’ve traveled in Italy, Michelin-rated restaurants are mostly disappointing. Much more delicious can be eaten in a tavern or Osteria. The service was good. There would be no reason... To be honest the prices are on the higher side and the portions on the lower in compare with other Michelin star restaurants we visited but the creations were (more) outstanding. Wine pairing was done properly and the wines you get are in the top ranges. And all of that in a nice, peaceful green setting. Although we had the bad luck of being the only one to eat inside. No more free tables outside unless our reservation was from months ago. The service was absolutely on star level. Decent explaining of the wines and dishes. Very polite but not stiff. Our compliments to the team. We enjoyed the dessert and ravioli the most.
When you eat at a Michelin star restaurant your expectations are immediately higher. Chef Andrea and his team did not disappoint. The attention to detail in everything from greeting you, to presenting the food to subtle service where you don't even notice they added more utensils or poured a little more wine for you in order to prepare you for the next course, it was all so well orchestrated. The 5 course meal displayed unique flavors, textures, beautiful presentation and a good ole WOW that’s amazing at each bite. The ravioli was so delicate yet savory packed with flavor. The fish was simple yet flavorful and delicious. The grand final deserts, each delicate with it's own unique flavor that complimented the entire meal. To top off the experience, the wine selection was absolutely perfect with the meal. We dined at Kitchen over Thanksgiving holiday in the US and are still talking about the experience months later. THAT is how a fine dining, Michelin star restaurant experience should be like memorable!
Thank you for a wonderful and memorable evening yesterday 31 July 2021. A dedicated and very knowledgeable young team led by manager Alberto shows how a perfect restaurant can be run. The Kitchen staff created impressive dishes, both traditional and vegetarian, with home made delicious bread and butter. The selected wines to go with each course, and the explanations as to their palate and origins were perfect. We will come again. Highly recommended!
Divine!! One of the best meals both my partner and I have ever had. The service was perfect! Attentive, thoughtful, and seamless. The food was *chef’s kiss* and so creative. I had the green menu (vegetarian and my partner had the experience menu. Both were great. The butter they brought for the bread was also amazing. It was all delicious from the opening champagne to the closing espresso. As with most things at Lake Como…the atmosphere was gorgeous. We loved it here and can’t wait to come back! Highly recommend :
Wow! Not often i start a review like this but its justified. An excellent tasting menu from start to finish. Cannot fault the chef in any way... innovative, clever use of ingredients, great palate, just lovely cookery throughout. If you are in the como area and interested in good food then this place really is unmissable. An instant entry into my top three it really is that good. You wont regret the experience menu it has been fantastic. Thanks again to the chef and team.
