The best value for money and professional service. Thank you for always being attentive to your customers.
We stopped for lunch on the road and stumbled upon this restaurant by chance. It's absolutely fantastic, well done chef! It's a shame we're so far away, we would have come all the time. We wish we had a chef like this in Luxembourg too! Impeccable service!
I ate at the Frate restaurant for lunch and had a great time. I had a mixed del Frate appetizer (cured meats, russa, salmon, nervetti with beans, spring onions, eggplant with salsa verde) and a sliced Angus steak with porcini mushrooms: both dishes more than met my expectations. The only drawback was the lack of detail in describing some dishes on the menu (e.g., game ragù wasn 't specified, and the ingredients on the various platters weren 't mentioned).

Genuine Italian traditional dishes with genuine flair. Reminds me my grandpa’s northern Italian cuisine. Friendly service at the right price.
Interesting menu with good choice of local food. Friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff. The decor is a touch outdated but that adds to the charm. Plates sizes are a a touch generous but that did not stop me finishing : .. his is my second visit and I will certainly go again. Wine suggested by waiter was excellent and good value.
Fantastic , when I saw this place I said NO WAY It is close to Dogana Italia Swiss BUT BUT I LOVE I go every week Sassicaia fair price Brunello 1990 49 euros Food fantastic So don’t judge book by the cover
I went there last sunday for a dinner with friends and family. My friends wanted to try something typical from the lake cuisine, so I called in advance to be sure the menù would have what they wanted. They were very friedly. We had many different dishes, most notably the famous (or infamous) misultin (dried fish, very salty and savoury) and risotto with lavarello. Both were excellent. My wife had a tagliata with porcini (steak and mushrooms). The service was friendly, the price reasonable. Definitely suggested if you want to try good, typical cooking a little off the vedy touristic center.
Tonight was our second visit to this restaurant. On our first visit we had the tourist menu which proved to be good but a little on the large size. This evening I had pork in balsamic sauce and my partner had beef fillet in pepper sauce. The service is good and the price is reasonable . This is a good authentic Italian restaurant

Quality, tradition and service. for years a point of reference of excellent dishes of the Lombard cuisine and not only!
We ate very well. spaghetti with porcini mushrooms. play cases. we have divided the mixed appetizer of fries and fried porcini mushrooms. the portions were generous
Cucina tipica lombarda e comasco: polenta, funghi porcini, tartufo, pesce lacustre ecc. sempre delizioso.
I appreciate Il Frate for its homemade cooking, whose quality has been consistent for years. The menu includes regional dishes like persico (perch fish), classic recipes like risotto and polenta, and slow-cooking meat like deer and wild boar. Since I am primarily vegan, I prefer, in season, breaded porcini (Italian mushrooms) that are excellent. There is a good selection of wines, and the staff is kind and responsive.
