A lovely courtyard at the rear was a haven on a hot Como Saturday lunchtime. Friendly staff and cool, quiet. Enjoyable Carpacio of Angus beef was a very, very generous serve of delicate rare beef, helped with rocket and Parmesan. A dish of spaghetti vongole also enjoyed. House white from Veneto was €3.50 a glass. The entire meal for 3 was €60 and I’d return in a heartbeat.

We had bresaola and a... read more Returned after 6 yrs and still a great spot.... hidden at the back of a deli a few hundred meters south of the main tourist area of Como. We had bresaola and a few other appetizers, the meat lasagna and an additional pasta that we didn't order... the waitress was having a little trouble keeping the orders straight. This is primarily a locals eatery (one of the reasons we like it) and my limited Italian was likely partly to blame for the mixups. The latter pasta dish was a carciofi (artichoke) and ricotta ravioli which was good but wouldn't be something I'd have on the menu.... the artichoke flavour is just too subtle in such a dish. With a caraffa of vino rosso di casa, our lunch was excellent save for the exceptions noted above. We'll be back on our next Como visit!

Boyfriend had lasagne, which he said was great. I had trout, which came with potatoes and some salad. Although listed as a fillet, it has quite a lot of bones, but was delicious regardless. Each main was €8. We also had a coffee afterwards, which was good.

I visit Como quite often and the last time I was there my Family and I made a very nice discovery, Castiglioni is a lovely restaurant, perfect for a lunch break... read more I visit Como quite often and the last time I was there my Family and I made a very nice discovery, Castiglioni is a lovely restaurant, perfect for a lunch break while visiting the city. My family and I all had different fishes main courses and all were very good. The prices are extremely convenient! In three all eating Fish, two waters and 1/4L Wine and to end a Creme Brûlée we payed 34€! A total bargain! I will definitely pay another visit next time I am in Como!
