Was Ella Birt at Meson Ole! a mag?
We have been to this restaurant many times. I always refer my friends and family when deciding to make it a Mexican flavor. They have excellent choices and excellent service. Everyone is very friendly and the atmosphere is wonderful. I highly recommend this establishment. Prices are reasonable and food is fresh. View all feedback.
What Cortez dislikes about Meson Ole!:
I was charged for an extra dessert that was missing from my order, and the salsa was so watery that I could barely recognize it as salsa. I gave this place 2 stars because their fried ice cream is exceptionally good. I suspect that if I had dined in and ordered one of those giant pitchers of sangria before eating, I might have found the food somewhat more tolerable. But honestly, if you plan to enjoy your meal sober,... View all feedback.

Sadly, this disappointing salsa foreshadowed the rest of our meals. The entrees we ordered could be summed up in one word: uninspiring. It left us wishing we had stayed home, ordered local Chinese takeout, or gone to a diner for some comforting food, because none of the dishes offered any satisfaction. The only positive thing I can say about the entrees is that they were filling. There was no Pico de Gallo or anything interesting—just poorly presented dishes that looked more like fast food than what you’d expect from a sit-down restaurant. We ordered a small and overpriced scoop of guacamole, which came in a stale mini taco salad shell, partly because the salsa was so unappetizing. I noticed some reviews praised the fried ice cream, but by the time you get to dessert, you mostly just want the check and to make a hasty exit. Reading similar reviews about this place and its other locations, it seems my feelings are echoed by others. Perhaps they should focus on selling fried ice cream, as their food certainly doesn’t measure up. If you’re looking to enjoy authentic Mexican cuisine, I recommend heading to the Old Town area of San Diego. On the other hand, if you’re looking for forgettable Mexican food, then this is the place for you.

I've visited this restaurant numerous times, and each experience has been fantastic. The food is amazingly delicious, and the service is excellent! The portion sizes are generous. I particularly love the sangria and the fried ice cream—they're both a must-try! I highly recommend this place!
