So a wonder place to eat in this little Texas city, it is that nostalgic restaurant feeling that you get from these small cities that I absolutely love so much everyone who travels for the city of Comanche I recommend you stop and eat here also breakfast View all feedback.
What Brittany Barnes dislikes about Matt Daddy’s:
The food is barely above mediocre, prices are too high for the quality, very understaffed so your wait time will be very long even to receive a menu. The staff working there are friendly and attentive, they're just very, very short handed right now. View all feedback.

Stopped for breakfast. No complaints. It was standard diner style breakfast fare. Fluffy biscuits and probably frozen sausage patties. Coffee was good and friendly staff. My meal was less than $7 so I'm not complaining. Favorite place based on this one meal? No. Would I eat there for breakfast again? For sure.
Yummy. Friendly, prompt service. Family atmosphere. Fried food galore, but done right. Enjoyed the fried zucchini in particular along with freshly formed burgers.
I've been here several times, and the food is consistently good; however, the service can be a bit slow depending on the busy times. During my last three visits, though, the service was quite fast. I haven't had a bad patty melt yet—it's my favorite burger! The staff is always friendly, even on the slower days. Just be prepared for either fast or slow service, and enjoy your meal. The atmosphere is pleasant, too; you don’t feel cramped next to the next table, which allows for easy conversations and a fun experience without needing to shout to be heard!
Just had to get up and walk out. We ordered our food (easy things like omlet and oatmeal), then waited an hour for our food. When we asked for an ETA on food 2 waitresses got attitude and argued with us on how long we had been waiting, instead of just giving us an estimate. We still waited. Last straw was seeing our waitress walk to the front and start talking about us to the hostess at the front, watching them laugh and point at us. Based on reviews here on quality of food I'm glad we left. We asked for owner info and were told the owner was cooking in the back. This place needs some etiquette. Big time.
I ordered the patty melt and onion rings , our daughter got the Matt daddy burger , and my husband ordered steak fingers . All i can say is DELICIOUS!!! Perfect time of wait our waitress was intune with us . She new the answer to ever question I had . We will come back again!!

The burger on jalapeño bread was amazing! The fries were fantastic too.
This is a great dining spot. While the service can be a bit slow at times, it seems that’s the case everywhere these days. The food is delicious, and it's tough to find a burger and fries that compare!
The food is outstanding, although the restaurant has changed its name. It's a charming little hidden gem.
Food and service was not good. The fried jalapeno and okra and mashed potatoes were the best.Took way to long to get our drinks after I had to ask about them.

It's a great spot for a meal. While the service can be a bit slow at times, that's become common everywhere lately. The food is delicious, and you can't go wrong with their burgers and fries!
This is a great place to eat. The staff was friendly and helpful. The waitress recommended the lunch plate and it was very tasty. Prices were very good. Restaurant was very clean and quiet. Highly recommend. Plus there is alot to see all around it.
Our waitress was Meg. She was amazing and gave reference to try an appetizer. She was friendly!!! an asset to this place for sure! Hope to see her again soon!!
While driving through Comanche, I took my 10-hour break at Allsup's, which is an easy walk from the street. I ordered a freshly made burger on sourdough, accompanied by homemade fries—real, fresh-cut fries! I was very pleased with the price and quality of the meal. The service was quick and friendly, and the interior features lovely wooden finishes. Would I come back? Absolutely, yes!
The service was friendly. The chili special was decent, and the cornbread portion was enough to satisfy me, though I doubt it would be filling for most people. It's a classic Western establishment.
