We've only been to this Denny's for breakfast on Sundays. We were happy when we finally found a place that serves fluffy, hot pancakes. Since "The Dish" in Sidney closed, we hadn't found a place that serves a good breakfast. This Denny's does. View all feedback.

This was my 3rd time here, and each time I hope for an improvement, but no such luck. We waited over an hour for breakfast, which arrived cold, and the toast was burnt. The restaurant was not even busy and we were also told that they had run out of coffee cups due to the early morning rush, which was hard to believe. Food is horrible and the service is hit or miss. The floor manager has no xustomer service skills. There are many better places near by to eat at.
I have just tried it for a second time to see if has changed it has not. Waited over 45 minutes for a cold breakfast he said it was so busy, not true our area was 3/4 full but the lower part was not even a 1/3 full. Beware the food is not good, hot and worth the wait. Thanks Brian
Oh, my...what a shock! The delicious breakfasts we've had here did not prepare us for the ordeal of dinner at Denny's in Colwood. I ordered the Turkey Dinner and my husband ordered the Chicken Avocado Caesar. First of all, although the restaurant was nearly empty, the food took well over an hour to arrive. Several tables came in after us, and all of them received their food before we did. The ice machine was broken, so the glasses of water we received quickly became lukewarm. I deigned not to order a cocktail without ice. There was a lot of noise on the lower level of the restaurant, not because of customers, but because the hockey game was on, and the staff were gathered around screaming and hollering. In addition, all the patrons who came in after us were seated immediately around us, and each table had ever coughing patrons with deep bubbling liquid coughs. When the turkey dinner arrived, the turkey was tough, the stuffing, while a generous portion, had a lingering stale flavour that told me it was past it's "best by" date. The cranberry sauce needed to be requested. The Avocado Chicken Caesar had no croutons or parmesan, and 3 very thin slices of avodado. On the plus side the vegetables on the turkey plate were hot and the zucchini slices cooked to perfection. The gravy was fine. The service was friendly, but the quality of the food and length of time it took to get it, coupled with lukewarm drinks and no cocktails really put us off. On top of this, it was damp and 12 degrees outside, but the air conditioning was going full tilt. We could not wait to get out of there. This is our first and last dinner here.
After spending the day at butchart garden & resting in our hotel room, we decided to stop by this Denny's not too far from our hotel. At first it looked like it was closed because you can't see inside from the windows. However, we figured it was open because it was Denny's. It was a Tuesday night, at around 10 pm. We were visiting from the U.S. so we were shocked to see the exact same menu. I found it funny how they had the red white and blue slam special on the front page of the menu. Overall, the food was OK, nothing more, nothing less.
