Contribute FeedbackRoyal Roads Bakery offers a mixed experience. While some customers laud the delicious baked goods and friendly staff that keep them coming back for more, others express disappointment over stale and overpriced products, as well as unsatisfactory customer service experiences. Customers appreciate the variety offered, but the inconsistency in quality and service raises concerns. Overall, the general sentiment seems to be divided, with both positive and negative aspects highlighted in the reviews.
Lots of yummy looking treats. Staff was friendly and kind. Lots of people either eating in or takiing out. Cinnamon bun with cream cheese icing was decadent. Would have been even better if there would have been raisins in it. Highly recommend.
Caveat to this review I didn’t try any of the savoury pastries.I really wanted to like this bakery more! I pass it often, and had to stop in this past weekend, but I wasn’t thrilled with the quality of the baked goods. I got a cinnamon scone (flavourless), apple fritter (decent), millionaire bar (way too sweet), and a variety of cookies. Overall, most of the items were dry and lacked that « can’t just eat one » quality. I took a bite of each cookie, the scone, and millionaire bar and didn’t have a second bite. I did finish the Apple fritter though!Super friendly staff, and was an efficient experience despite being busy.
This bakery has very kind staff, even when it's super busy! I've gone when it's busy as well as when there was a break. This bakery is small and can be tight. I do warn you. However, the hearts of the people working are big and warm. This is one of the best places to go for a coffee break! The donuts are massive. They have sausage rolls made with Lard, not butter for anyone lactose free. My husband loves them! Along with many handmade hot and cold drinks, they offer 2 flavours of Kombucha that switches out! Love those. They have goodies of both the sweet and Savory kind, so there is something for everyone!
Oh my goodness. What a great bakery. Had an apple fritter, glazed donut, a couple of salads and a sandwhich. All delicious. Eager to get back to try some of the cookies which look like perfect bite-sized morsels for dipping into coffee. As well, if you are on the spit by Colwood, it's an easy drive up Lagoon road to grab a bite and then go back to snack on the beach.
A carb lovers dream and a keto man's nightmare. Only dare enter if you're prepared to be thunderstruck by sweet and savory delights. You've been warned
