Breaux Bridge - Columbus
Breaux Bridge
Description
A lively, cozy spot serving boldly seasoned seafood boils and Southern favorites, praised for hot, flavorful crab, shrimp and gumbo, friendly servers and a full bar. Diners applaud value and authentic Louisiana-style flavors, though crowds and bag-service can feel informal. Several guests report inconsistent pricing and isolated service lapses, and one serious oyster-related illness was reported—so caution is advised with raw/steamed shellfish. Overall a popular casual destination for seafood lovers and groups seeking hearty, well-spiced fare in Columbus, Mississippi.

Friday the 17th my husband I tried this restaurant for the 1st time (we are from IN) our server seemed new but she was pleasant. I 've never had a seafood boil which was not bad at all but I also ordered 12 steamed oysters (never had oysters steamed) 2 of the 6 I actually ate tasted off . I decided not to eat the rest I figured it just wasn 't to my liking BUT w/in 48 hours I Knew I had food poisoning (3rd time in my life and pray it never happens again) I will spare everyone the gory details but it took me 4 full days to feel human again. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THE OYSTERS!!!!! ???
I visited Breaux Bridge on Thursday and was warmly welcomed by what I like to call the "Two Zs." They were incredibly helpful and enthusiastic about serving me. The food was absolutely delicious and served hot, and the drinks were fantastic as well. I genuinely enjoyed everything, right down to the delightful conversations with these two ladies. Keep up the great work! I will definitely be returning. Rating: 5/5.
During our visit to Columbus, Mississippi to see our son, we were on the lookout for a great crab restaurant and discovered Breaux Bridge. It was absolutely fantastic! The seasonings on their bag of crabs, shrimp, corn, potatoes, and sausage were outstanding. We enjoyed it so much that we ended up dining there three times over our two-week stay. I highly recommend this place! Food Rating: 5/5
The waitress was excellent, and the food was served hot and fresh. We always look forward to our visits here. Food: 5/5
I had a terrible experience at this restaurant. The employee, Gavin, was extremely rude and unprofessional. When I asked to speak with the manager, she explained that Gavin was upset due to personal issues at home. While I understand that everyone has their struggles, he should have taken the day off because his behavior was very disrespectful. This incident began over a request for a larger bag for my order. As a result, my company has decided we will no longer dine at this location in Columbus, Mississippi.
