Everything was terrific! I was comparing it to an old favorite family owned Italian restaurant that is no longer in operation and it came very close. My only disappointment was the meatballs. While quite tasty, they were very heavy and dense. The homemade pasta was exceptionally good as was the sauce. Try the lasagna....very good and the calamari was wonderful! Prices were reasonable server was so nice and helpful...... View all feedback.
What Anna Wilson doesn't like about Pasta Fresca:
Took my boyfriend here because we were craving pasta, and for some reason this place had great reviews. I’m not a negative critic usually, but the service was terrible, and my chicken tortellini was soooo chewy and dry. When I told the server my chicken was overcooked and I couldn’t chew it, he said “okay gotcha” and we paid full price for a really rough meal all around. We will not be going here again. I really loved the chicken and spinach lasagna! Good portion size. Will definitely order again. The bread appetizers are very good too. I need to try more of their menu. The regular lasagna wasn’t my fave, but the chicken and spinach one is fabulous. The salads are good, only critique is the dressing could use a little more flavor. Overall, great food, service and ambiance.
Food is always delicious. Portions are ample. Service is good. Atmosphere is always friendly.
We recently dined at Pasta Fresca, located at 4722 Forest Dr, Columbia, SC 29206, and it was an outstanding experience. We began our meal with the Loaded Bread, featuring fresh garlic spread on daily-baked French bread topped with a blend of Parmesan and mozzarella cheeses, toasted until bubbly. It was a fantastic start to the evening. We also tried the Hand-Breaded Calamari, which was crispy and delicious, showcasing the freshness of the ingredients. For the main course, we had the Southwest Chicken served with fettuccini noodles. The chicken, combined with roasted red peppers, green onions, and Roma tomatoes in a cilantro-mint white wine butter sauce, was fantastic. We opted for a substitution with spicy marinara sauce, which added an extra kick. We also enjoyed the Seafood Gorgonzola, which included southeastern wild-caught shrimp and scallops sautéed with sliced mushrooms, green onions, and roasted red peppers. This was finished in a rich gorgonzola cream sauce and served with spinach pasta and a house salad. The flavor profile was superb, and the spinach pasta complemented the dish perfectly. At Pasta Fresca, you have the option to choose your pasta and spice level for all dishes, and you can pair your meal with either a house salad or soup. The atmosphere is vibrant, and this is the place to be if you enjoy live music. The combination of a lively environment and exceptional pasta makes Pasta Fresca a must-visit spot in Columbia. Highly recommended for a delightful dining experience! There is no military discount.

We ordered a family take out of the loaded spaghetti. The food was disappointing. The meat was dry. The spaghetti had very little sauce. I hope no one else gets such dry sauceless food. Bob and
