Bernie's Broasted Chicken - Columbia

This is the best chicken in the Columbia area! The service is quick, and the atmosphere is great. I can’t help but stop by for some every time I’m passing through.

During my visit to South Carolina from Texas, I initially had different plans for the day before heading to the airport. However, someone at the hotel recommended Bernie’s Chicken, and I changed my entire schedule to give it a try. I’m so glad I did because it was the best chicken I've ever had in my 42 years of life. It was also my first time trying pressure-cooked chicken, and I was so eager to dig in that I almost bit my tongue!

It gets quite busy during lunchtime, but it's home to the best chicken you can find downtown!

I’m a huge fan of chicken, and this restaurant had fantastic reviews. I can confidently say that it serves the best chicken I've ever had at a restaurant. The service was impressive; I placed my order and before I even sat down, my number was already being called. I went for the 4-piece dark chicken (the best part, in my opinion) accompanied by fries and coleslaw. My coworker chose the 3-piece combo with white meat, also paired with fries and coleslaw. As soon as we took our first bites, the first piece of chicken was gone in an instant! Clearly, someone back in the kitchen knows the secret to delicious food. I highly recommend this place if you're in the area—without a doubt, it deserves 5 stars!

The food and service were decent, but the bathroom and dining area could definitely use some renovation. It feels like they haven't updated anything since they first opened.
