Always good. This is a rock solid restaurant with a great fairly priced wine list. They also serve wine at the proper temperature which is a big deal. I have eaten here five or ten times over the past 5 years and I have never been disappointed. If you are local or from out of town this place delivers. If you are staying at Marriott then you would be crazy to go anywhere else. I am picky as heck so for me to even writ... View all feedback.
What Jern Bean doesn't like about Hampton Street Vineyard:
A clean restaurant, good atmosphere and we liked the feel of a small restaurant. We only had to wait about 15 minutes for a table, did not seem like an extremely busy night. Waiter was polite but we did not see him very much at all. After ordering drinks, appetizer, and entrees we waited a good 20 minutes before asking if maybe they had forgotten about our bread. The waiter?s response was that they only serve it if r... View all feedback.
The herbal treatment is 100% guaranteed for hsw healing, the reason why most people it is hard to heal hsw because they believe in medical reports, medications and medical treatment that is not helpful to heal hsw. natural roots/herbs are the best medium that can easily extinguish herpes forever. I never thought I could ever be cured. more

Took Too Long to Find. How have I missed this for however many years I've lived here? I guess b/c I am cheap, and this place certainly isn't. But, somebody else was paying tonight so I took advantage.<br/ <br/ Nice atmosphere but a bit loud. Attentive waiter. The mussels and fried oysters were good, but I'm just not a big fan of those in general. I had the soup du jour which was a light vegetable soup with pesto. Excellent flavor, but served a bit less than hot. I'd order it again certainly (by the way, all comments are assuming someone else is paying).<br/ <br/ The salmon on a bed of mushroom-risotto was amongst the best tasting pieces of fish I have ever had, a true delight to the palate, and a large filet which is sometimes sadly overlooked at some fancy places. Unfortunately, the waiter recommended medium-rare, which was just a little too undercooked for my tastebuds for salmon (for tuna it would have been perfect). My wife's shrimp and grits were definitely in the top 2 that we've ever had, thanks partly to the creative addition of goat cheese lumps. I probably will have a craving for those soon.<br/ <br/ I'm told by those who had either the tuna special or the filet mignon that they were both excellent as well. The spicy sausage soup was very good, but less spicy than expected. Overall, we enjoyed the meal greatly and once we've saved up the dough, will go back promptly.<br/ <br/ 5-19 update: went back and glad I did. Swordfish was very good with a corn-peach salsa, but the lemon-spinach risotto was spectacular, definitely the best risotto I've ever had the pleasure of tasting.
I enjoyed the wine and atmosphere. The seats were uncomfortable and I'd say the food was mediocre. I had the lamb while my wife had the filet. Neither were exciting.
