Panera Bread - Columbia
Panera Bread
Description
Diners at the Nifong location of Panera have recently experienced mixed feelings about their visits, balancing delicious menu offerings with frustrating service issues. While dishes like flatbread pizza and Baja bowls deliver on taste, frequent order inaccuracies and inadequate attention to detail—such as insufficient bread portions and misplaced soups—have marred the experience. Customers express disappointment at having to scrutinize their meals to ensure correctness, despite the overall enjoyable atmosphere and cleanliness of the restaurant. Despite these setbacks, the flavorful food keeps patrons coming back, hoping for a more seamless dining experience in the future.

I recently dined at Panera and was disappointed by the service I received at the Nifong location. I ordered two Baja bowls and two Big So sandwiches, but was unhappy to find that there were only 4 slices of bread between both orders. I felt that paying $32 for these meals was unreasonable.
Always a great place for breakfast and socializing. Their bakers dozen is always good as well on Tuesday.
I am more inclined to believe that they are making mistakes with my food rather than not. They give me different dressings or ingredients or leave out ingredients altogether. I shouldn't have to scrutinize every aspect of my meal before I take a bite. I have never had a meal as delicious as this one.
Ordered a flatbread pizza and some soup. The pizza was delicious. I ordered cheddar broccoli soup but was given french onion instead. It was not what I ordered and they were busy so I did not go back to have it fixed. The soup, while not being what I wanted, was still good.
Had an unacceptable experience with the curbside delivery at the Columbia Mall location last night. I arrived prior to the time we told to pick up the delivery, parked in the designated area, and pressed the I'm here button on the app. Fifteen minutes go by and we try to call the store. The call was answered, but it was clear the phone was simply laid down because there was no response, yet we could hear talking in the background. I went into the store around 20-25 minutes after the pickup time and the young man at the counter simply gave me a half-hearted apology, stating he didn't hear the alert on the tablet. I complained that the food is probably cold by now and he said it wasn't. I was given another shoulder-shrug and sorry By the time I got home, the soup was cold and the sandwich was cold and soggy. Panera has a lot to learn about customer service and shouldn't offer curbside pickup if this is the best they can do.
