Drip coffee is a nice change of pace for coffee shops in Columbia, offering a nice laidback atmosphere where you can kick back and read a book or study for an upcoming test. If you decide to try it out, I would highly recommend sampling the pour over coffees. They have a wide variety of blends from all over the world, each of which can be tasted as is without creamer or sugar. Drip's Lunch menu is also nothing to lau... View all feedback.
What Ava Jules doesn't like about Drip:
I want to love this place and be a regular but the customer service is so horrible. Coffee/food tastes great and the baristas are always friendly, but the guy (I believe the owner) who usually takes orders is a nightmare. I’ve been here 4 times now and each time I felt unwelcomed by him. As a customer service worker myself I try to give people the benefit of the doubt but he’s enough to make me never go back View all feedback.
I met my now-fiancé here for the very first time. We had coffee and really enjoyed ourselves. Their coffee is good, and the service is excellent. The decor and the vibe of the place are relaxing! We went back a second time and sat in the exact same spot as our first visit. We find it so funny! We’re planning to come back after we get married. Thank you, Drip!
Drip Coffee on Saluda Ave. in 5 Points, is well known, and rightfully so, for its casual, funky, coffee house vibe and its many permutations of excellent coffee. It is now also my new favorite place to get a toasted salmon bagel. It is a toasted everything bagel with a very satisfying texture that is chewy but still soft, topped with a generous helping of nova salmon, a fresh, thick slice of ripe, juicy tomato and just the right amount of red onion. The cream cheese is served separately, in a bowl, and the plate is garnished with several giant caper berries, not those wimpy little caper budlets. This way, you can shmear on as little, or as much cream cheese as you like and, for caper love, you can slice the berries and layer them in between the salmon and the bread, or you can leave them out and pick them up by their stem like a cherry and bite them for that pop of briny freshness. (I do both. It is a truly excellent, satisfying meal, made even better paired with the coffee of your choice, or with their fresh-squeezed homemade lemonade, refreshing and not overly sweet. And at under $10 (sandwich only one of the best deals in town!
You will not get your coffee like on the picture. It will be overheated to hell and will taste horrible. Will not recommend this place
I drink coffee a lot and by far, this is the best cafe in Columbia! Great vibes and decor. You will really like this place, and of course the coffee!
I love the coffee and breakfast options here. It’s quickly becoming one of my favorite places to frequent in the morning when I want something quick and tasty. I love that I can add rose and cardamom to my dirty chai tea latte, it’s so delicious.
