New management and the same stunning view has transformed this restaurant into a 1st class experience. They provided a curated selection of excellent local and traditional Italian cuisine. They have an amazing local wine list, which we couldn't try because their house wines were so good. However all the wineries are close enough to do a day trip too if you are staying longer. This resturant is an amazing amenity if you are staying at the hotel, but also worthy of the trek up the hill to experience the stunning view and the equally impressive food.

We stumbled upon this hidden gem on our way to Florence, and it absolutely exceeded our expectations. It was the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of the city — peaceful, relaxing, and beautifully serene. The staff were incredibly welcoming/accommodating, and the views were nothing short of breathtaking. We’d return in a heartbeat and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to friends!

I have to say this restaurant was simply superb . Owned by a farming family , the mother did the cooking and daughter and son were the waiters . My favourites were the risotto and the cinghale stew which were to die for .The house wine at 5 euro a litre was not only very good value but excellent quality .Beautiful views over the valley made it a perfect setting .PS the portions are huge !

What can I say, but I fell in love with the potato flan with cinghiale. The meat was flavorful and melted in my mouth. Cinghiale dishes are, after all, an Umbrian specialty. That was the start of a beautiful dinner al fresco under the Umbrian sky. My pasta was al dente and the flavors of the cherry tomatoes and shrimps mixed wonderfully in the sauce. Delicious! My husband ordered tuna and shrimp which he ate with satisfaction. He ordered tiramisu with pistachio for dessert. It was lovely (I had to taste it! ! I ordered gelato. It looked so good that I forgot to take a picture. It was a wonderful experience having dinner at Il Pavone. It does require a car to get there. Dinner with someone special under the Umbrian night sky is a lovely thing.

This is the restaurant located at the Relais Il Canalicchio resort. If you're a guest at the resort, chances are you're eating here several times. The food is excellent and changes every day. Simple, fresh ingredients make sure for delicious dinners. The breakfast buffet is OK. It doesn't change so you get tired of it after a few days, but it meets its purpose. Overall, it's fine for a simple morning starter. The staff at the restaurant is outstanding. I can't say enough about how great the service is at the restaurant. Every person working there was top notch. Pricing can be a little high if you go for several courses. The starters are over priced in my opinion, so I'd opt for pasta and a main dish or add starter with just one of the other courses. Serving portions are very good, so if you do go for multiple courses, be prepared to be FULL. I over ate on several nights. Overall, a very nice restaurant with a view to die for. The Umbrian hills are right there while you enjoy your meal and a nice glass of local wine. Buon appetito!
